Set up my drums and worked on mike placement. Did sound check while our Sound Engineer Jody Hill got everything on the board set.

"Last Generation" drum tracks were done after 4 or 5 takes with just a little spot in the middle not matching up. Will fix that next session.

Jody is doing a great job and we can't wait for everyone to hear the finished product.

Studio Day 1

6-8pm

Programmed drum machine to use as a time meter. Took a few minutes each track to get the drum machine to match our tempo and time changes.

Kevin recorded 4 rhythm guitar tracks. They will recorded over later but will be used as a guide for me next week to record my drum tracks.

The Gibson Les Paul sounded muddy and dull, so we switched to the Mosrite. A much brighter sound. ( The Les Paul is my favorite guitar, not sure why it sounded heavy, low and wet). Will check that out next week in the studio.

We are concentrating on these 4 songs. For Now....

It's July Dammit

Damn, It's been over 3 months since i posted to this Blog. That is the longest break since i started this blog in 2003.

One reason was the band took a break so there was really nothing to say, and second, I sold my House and moved so that was a long drawn out thing....God I hope i never do that again. Don't even ask me about the housing market and the transition my neighborhood went thru in 16 years. I'll talk about that in my personal blog......

Kevin and I went to meet with a sound engineer tonight. Toured his studio and discussed our music and what we wanted. He was very good at asking the right questions. Then we jammed CLUTCH.


Kevin and I have had many transitions recording this CD. With several different versions over the last several years. This is a brand new breath of air for the songs we have worked hard on and are very proud of.

For some reason it has taken this long but the real deal is coming, i promise;)
The first of the new tracks will be posted on Bad Planet ........
